I happened to watch Wish ko Lang on GMA7 today and I felt bad for what happened to Aurora Sevilla.
I searched for her pictures online but this is the only one that I got from Google. I remembered that she joined showbiz in mid 80′s when I was only in grade school. I remembered how beautiful she was. From a beauty queen, she plunged into some commercial endorsements and started some acting stints.
She was known to have a pretty face but was not that much linked on some celebrities, although she has been known to be one of the favorite leading ladies of some action stars. As she continued to be in the limelight, a lot of people were surprised when she quit the showbusiness because of her pregnancy.
And the rest was history. She almost lost everything that she worked hard for and is now living with her kids in a small room.
She wrote in Wish ko Lang, asking for some assistance because she really hit rock bottom. I saw it as one brave move, to forget about her pride and ask for help.
And knowing the show’s creative way to surprise their ‘guests’, she really got some memorable treats. She was given two months allowance for the bills and rent, food cart businesses, school and grocery supplies and scholarship grants for her children. 
Isn’t it a nice treat?
I must say that it was a generous one because she also got a make over and exposure in one of GMA’s afternoon tv drama show. Now that’s a good way to help. I call it sustainable assistance.
I just wish her well and I hope that she takes good care of every blessing that she will get in the process. This is also a reminder for us, celebs or not, to take so much care of our hard earned money and investments. Just like me, I am working very hard to sustain living a decent life that is why I am very careful in the way I spend my hard earned money.

I’ve also seen this episode. I was surprised at how she looks now. She’s still beautiful although she has already gained a lot of pounds.
Besides, it’s hard to be a single parent these days. Especially with two kids.

Good post here. She deserves a second chance. Good thing is that program gave her the chance to work again.
I was not able to see that episode, although I really wanted to. That day, I needed to accompany my kids to church. My sister told me about that episode in Wish Ko Lang. I felt sad because Au was my classmate in college. Was a dean’s lister. A friendly person and she was generous of tutoring me in a couple of subjects that we were classmates. I saw how she rose up to be a beauty queen. I just can’t believe what happened to her. I do hope that this time, that GMA will give her a chance to act again, she will be able to maintain this. She will be part of my prayers.
