This is the worst typhoon we have experienced. Our house got flooded. Our sacks of rice (we have just had a harvest from our little farm in Laguna) got ruined except for just one. Just think about all of those rice that got wasted.
A lot of my clothes were ruined and until now are still enveloped in cakes of mud. I’m thinking that it is next to impossible to completely clean them so maybe I’ll just throw them away by this weekend.
Oh, and the worst thing that happened was that two of our dogs died. The first one just a few days after the flood and the other one a few days ago. I’m not really sure if the second one has anything to do with the recent typhoon.
So the next time it rains, I will be very attentive and alert… always ready to grab my most important things and go for high ground.
